ORGANISER: Club „IPPON.LV” (Riga, Latvia) in cooperation with the Latvian Karate Federation.
HEAD JUDGE OF THE TOURNAMENT: Chairman of the LKF Referee Committee, EKF license holder Igor Ponomarenko.
REFEREES: National category judges licensed by the Latvian Karate Federation, international category judges. Foreign judges of the highest national category or holding EKF/WKF license are invited. The judges will be provided with hot dinner during the tournament. Referee work is paid. Judge briefing – 15.04.2017 at 9:30.
TOURNAMENT RULES: WKF rules with adjustments in U8, U10, U12, U14 categories. Olympic system with 2 third places (full cycle of repechage). Tatami size – 8m х 8m.
KATA: WKF rules with adjustments in the U8, U10, U12, U14 categories: U8 (6-7 years) must perform at least 1 KATA, athletes perform КАТА together. U10 (8-9 years) must perform at least 2 KATA, athletes perform КАТА together. U12 (10-11 years) must perform at least 3 KATA, athletes perform КАТА together. U14 (12-13 years) must perform at least 4 KATA, athletes perform КАТА one by one. U16, U18, Seniors – WKF rules
KUMITE: WKF rules with adjustments in the U8, U10, U12, U14 categories: U8 – fight duration 1:00 min, until a 6 point difference. U10, U12, U14 – fight duration 1:30 min, until a 6 point difference. U16, U18, Seniors –WKF rules.
PROTEST: Protest review – EUR 100,00 deposit.
PROTECTIVE GEAR: In accordance with WKF rules with adjustments in the U8, U10, U12, U14 categories. In the KUMITE U8, U10, U12, U14 categories athletes can participate without the body protector. In the U8, U10, U12 categories female athletes can participate without a chest guard. In the U14 category female athletes can participate without the body protector, but the chest guard is obligatory. The athletes as well as their coaches or parents are fully responsible for any injuries received as a result of not using the required equipment! The organizer does not provide the equipment.
PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT: The tournament participation fee is EUR 22,00 for participation in a one category. The payment is due upon registration of the participant. The participants are responsible for their state of health being suitable for participation in the tournament, as well as health insurance. It is the duty of the team’s representative to make every team member acquainted with the conditions of this Standing Order.
APPLICATIONS: The applications are accepted until April 12th 2017 24:00 to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org . Every athlete can take part in their respective age and weight category and in one older age category in his weight. The team representative and/or the coach are personally responsible for the participant matching the particular age or weight category, as well as the level of preparation of a particular athlete to the particular tournament.
REGISTRATION AND WEIGHING: From 07:30 till 9:30. Participants must have their passports or ID cards on them. Maximum excess weight upon weighing – 200g.
AWARDING: Awarding of the winners and prizewinners is conducted in parallel to the tournament. 1st place – Cup + medal + diploma; 2nd and 3rd place – medal + diploma. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are also awarded with prizes from sponsors.
