**** Absage / Cancellation WAKO Worldcup Austrian Classics 2020 ****

Liebe Sportfreunde,

die Österreichische Bundesregierung hat am 10. März einen Erlass verabschiedet, der die Einschränkungen des öffentlichen Lebens beinhaltet (www.sozialministerium.at/Informationen-zum-Coronavirus/Coronavirus---Aktuelles.html).
Generell gilt für den Sportbereich, dass bis zum 3. April 2020 Indoor-Veranstaltungen auf 100 und Outdoor-Veranstaltung auf 500 Personen beschränkt werden.
Diese Grenzwerte würden die Austrian Classics um das zig-fache überschreiten. Da es nicht vorhersehbar ist, wie sich die Situation nach dem 3. April entwickeln wird und nicht davon auszugehen ist,
dass ab dem 4. April in Österreich wieder "business as usual" möglich sein wird, sehen wir uns schweren Herzens gezwungen, die Austrian Classics für das Jahr 2020 abzusagen.

Es tut uns unendlich leid, aber in diesem Fall hat die Sicherheit der Bevölkerung und aller SportlerInnen Vorrang vor dem Sport.

Dear friends in sport,

two days ago, the Austrian Federal Government adopted a decree containing restrictions on public life (www.sozialministerium.at/Informationen-zum-Coronavirus/Coronavirus---Aktuelles.html).
In general, it applies to the sports sector that indoor events will be limited to 100 persons and outdoor events to 500 persons until the 3rd of April 2020.
The Austrian Classics would exceed these limits umpteen times.
It is impossible to predict at that time, how the situation will develop after 3rd of April and it cannot be assumed that "business as usual" will be possible again in Austria from 4th of April.
So we are forced with a heavy heart to cancel the Austrian Classics for 2020.

We are infinitely sorry, but in this case, the health safety of the population and all fighters takes priority over the sport.
