Entries: For this event no entry permission is required.

All new entries on waiting list
All entries will be first on a waiting list and have to be attended by the event manager. The event manager manually moves these entries to the list of official entries after they are approved and / or after paying the entry fee. If you have any questions please contact the event manager.

Limited number of entries: 600
If limit is set higher than 0 and limit is reached, no more entries can be entered by clubs. All further entries will be on a waiting list and have to be attended by the event manager. The event manager will decide, if entries of the waiting list will be accepted or not. If you have any questions please contact the event manager.

  • Clarification on Kata Rules:


    Age 8 - 9: Alternate Kata, performing a minimum of 2 Katas.

    Age 10 – 13: Alternate Kata, performing a minimum of 3 Katas.

    Cadet, Junior and Senior: W.K.F. rule set applied.



    Please advise Spectators that there will be an admission fee.

  • All registration and payment will be completed online 4 weeks prior to the event.

  • No cash will be handled on the day.

  • Entry Packs (Coach’s passes and competitors wrist bands) will be available for collection at the Arena on Friday 22nd between 18:00 and 21:00 and also on Saturday 23rd from 08:00

  • Kata events will run from 9:00 to 13:30

  • Kumite events will run from 14:00 – 19:00

  • The exact time schedule, running order and draw records will be posted online a few days before the event. Please allow plenty of time to be present for your event.

  • Weigh in for Cadet, Junior and Senior Kumite competitors (aged 14 years and over) will be possible at the Arena on either Friday 22nd September between 18:00 and 21:00 and also on the morning of the event while Kata events are taking place.

Event Organiser is Karate Ireland - ONAKAI, the only Irish Body recognised by the European Karate Federation (EKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF), which are members of the International Olympic Council (IOC).

  • This event is open to W.K.F. affiliated members only.
  • Competitors are not permitted to move up in age, they must stay in their own age bracket.
  • Also competitors can enter only one weight category for their age group.  
  • Individual Kata and Kumite Events. Entry numbers are limited.
  • This is a pay in advance event, so an entry is only secure when payment has been received.
