REFEREES

National category judges licensed by the Latvian Karate Federation, international category judges.  Foreign judges of the highest national category or holding EKF/WKF license are invited. Referee registration: santa81@inbox.lv

The judges will be provided with hot dinner during the tournament.

Referee work is paid.

Judge briefing – 15.04.2023 at 8:00.

TOURNAMENT RULES

WKF rules (with adjustment in U10, U12, U14)

Olympic system with 2 third places (full cycle of repechage).

Tatami size – 8m х 8m.

KATA U16, U18, 18+: point system (Groups of 8 competitors Elimination system)

U10 – 1 Kata at least

U12 – 2 Kata at least (not repeat last kata)

U14 – 3 Kata at least (not repeat last kata)

U10, U12, U14 – 5 judges, flag system, demonstrates kata at same time.

Kumite – flag system.

Kumite U10, U12, U14 – LKF kids rules (WKF rules with adjustments, skin-touch chudan).

U14 – face mask in not mandatory.

PROTEST

Protest review – EUR 100,00 deposit.

PROTECTIVE GEAR

In accordance with WKF rules.

The athletes as well as their coaches or parents are fully responsible for any injuries received as a result of not using the required equipment!

The organizer does not provide the equipment.

PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT

The tournament participation fee is EUR 35,00 for participation in a one category. The payment is due upon registration of the participant.

The participants are responsible for their state of health being suitable for participation in the tournament, as well as health insurance.

It is the duty of the team’s representative to make every team member acquainted with the conditions of this Standing Order.

APPLICATIONS

The applications are accepted until April 10th 2023 24:00 www.sportdata.org .

For every change in the application made after 10.04.2023 an additional charge of EUR 5,00 is applied.

Every athlete can take part in their respective age and weight category and in one older age category in his weight.

The team representative and/or the coach are personally responsible for the participant matching the particular age or weight category, as well as the level of preparation of a particular athlete to the particular tournament.

REGISTRATION AND WEIGHING

14.04.2023 (friday) – Pegasa Pils hotel – From 18:00 till 21:00;

15.04.2023 (saturday) –  Sports hall, Raina str. 55, Jurmala, Latvia;  From 07:00 till 08:30

Participants must have their passports or ID cards on them.

Maximum excess weight upon weighing – 200g male, 500g female.

AWARDING

Awarding of the winners and prizewinners is conducted in parallel to the tournament.

1st place – Cup + medal

2nd and 3rd place – medal

1st, 2nd and 3rd places are also awarded with prizes from sponsors
