PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION: to increase the physical activity of the population, especially children, to popularize the Shotokan karate style in the city of Vilnius, to identify the best athletes.

ORGANIZER OF THE COMPETITION: Vilnius city martial arts sports club "KARATE DO".

TIME: 2025 October 18, 10 o'clock (Sunday). The exact schedule will be confirmed before the competition.

VENUE OF THE COMPETITION: Tauras sport school, Žygio g. 46, Vilnius.

COMPETITION RULES (Shotokan karate):

• Kata: selection and finals - Flag system (your choice - Tokui kata, repeatable).

• Kumite: selection and finals Shobu Ippon, up to 2 points.

• Sumo: once push out of the tatami 3x3 m.

• Zuki: Ten Choku zuki into the air with a referee counting, the tenth with a scream/kia.

COMPETITIONS:

* Note. If less than 4 participants register for a category, the competition organizers reserve the right to combine adjacent age groups. Athletes who do not yet have belts can participate in white and all kiu categories. Participants can participate in your own and one category in a higher (older) age category.

PARTICIPANTS: The number of participants is not limited. All participants must have their health checked, be familiar with the tournament regulations and confirm this during registration. All participants participate in the tournament of their own free will, are not forced by anyone and assume all risks and responsibilities related to participation in the tournament (including various health disorders, etc.) and undertake not to make any claims to the tournament organizers. The organizers of the competition are not responsible for the health and injuries of the participants during the competition and recommend that the athletes take out insurance.

Photos and videos will be taken during the competition. By taking part in the competition, the participants agree that their photos and video material can be used for publicizing the event, their personal data (name, surname, age, represented club) can also be used for publicizing the list of participants and results.

PROTECTION: Kumite competitors must have dental guards and white, red or blue ESKA/WKF gloves. Chest protectors for girls, bandages for guys, leg protectors are available.

START FEE: one category - 25 euros, two categories - 50 euros, etc.

REFEREES: Judges with refereeing experience and experienced athletes are invited to judge the competition. Volunteers and athletes of any qualification are invited to contribute to the organization and smooth execution of the competition, as well as to the secretariat.

Judges must wear: white long-sleeved shirt, burgundy tie, gray plain pants, black socks, black shoes, have a whistle.

PROTESTS: The protest shall be submitted in writing within 10 minutes of the participation of the protested athlete, no later than the start of the next round of competition. The protest can be submitted by an official person of the team to the head of the competition judge. A one-time fee of 100 euros is charged for filing a protest. If the protest is satisfied, the fee is refunded. Only procedural, not factual, judges' decisions are reviewed.

AWARDS: the winners of the competitions are awarded with cups, medals and diplomas. Second and third place winners - with medals and diplomas. Two third places are awarded in Zuki, Sumo, Kata and Kumite categories. 4-5 years and 6-7 years in categories, all participants are awarded participant medals.
